LIFT (formerly known as Homestake) is a shared equity scheme aimed at helping people on low incomes who wish to be homeowners but cannot afford to pay the full price for a house. It is also available for disabled people and their families, who have to move to a house more suitable to the needs of the disabled person, and in this case some of the eligibility criteria may not apply.
